Three long years on a stormy sea,
Here and there were we.
This ship of ours, we thought would last,
But since then, all hope was lost.

3 years of a stormy relationship. And just now, when we've probably made up for the last time, we will soon be parting as we finish college.

Nice poem... not much to say..
But on friendship and parting I would have loads to say.. for I met my best friends in 11th grade.. AT the end of 12th, we both somehow felt the distance would wither the bond.. we would lose touch and get on wid r lives... I even wrote her an essay, about how I though friendship was like those gems u collect for extra points in those computer games, our life being a huge computer game... For we grow with each friendship, as humans, and we all that we learn through a person we really love remains imprinted in our minds...
I thought it would end there... I knew she had given me more than any friend had and that would stay wid me for ever... ( Though honestly, I havent fought with anyone more than I have with her!!)
But after two years of living apart, I declare that I was terribly wrong! She still is my best friend and have realised that she will ever be! The relationship has not withered in the least... She is still da one who understands me like transparent plastic, and vice versa... When I need someone to talk to, its her!
Yes we have moved into lives of our own, but there is still the place in my heart which has forever been assigned to her and I know that I own a place in her heart too..
So as long as friendship is concerned... dont ever worry! NOTHING can wither true friendship. My experience vouches for the fact!
